School Expeditions

Project Independence

“The experience was quite extraordinary. What I learned was phenomenal, practical skills, life skills and things about myself I doubt I could have understood in any other circumstance” - Sylvia Harper, Challenger

World Challenge works in partnership with over 1000 schools across the world, to send over 10,000 students away in school groups every year, but we recognise that the opportunity is not open to everyone.
Project Independence is a stand-alone programme that allows young people to experience the life-changing benefits of a World Challenge expedition by signing up on an individual basis.
Project Independence allows young people to go travelling with a group of like-minded students who want to become more globally aware, found life-long friendships and develop key life skills like confidence, teamwork and leadership. Our two and three week itineraries empower students to head out on an adventure that will make them stand out from the crowd, but to do so with the unrivalled support and safety that World Challenge expertise provides.

Why go on a school trip when you can go on a World Challenge?

"The structure of a World Challenge expedition is a winning formula. The way the students are engaged and involved from the outset gives them true ownership of their experience... It is an experience like no other!"
