Stuart Morris, Safety and Training Manager
 |
Whilst at school Stuart had a chance to take part in multi-activity trips to his LEA’s outdoor centre in Snowdonia. These trips sparked a desire within Stuart to pursue a life connected to the outdoors and from this point onwards he decided to focus the rest of his time in education towards preparing himself to do so. After completing his BSc Degree in Outdoor Studies in 2004 Stuart began working for World Challenge. . |
In his current role as Safety and Training Manager, Stuart utilises his own extensive experience of leading developmental overseas expeditions with that of his team to help prepare Challengers and School Leaders for their expeditions by overseeing the delivery of the Training Expeditions, as well as the training, assessment, and continual professional development of Expedition Leaders. Stuart and his team also liaise and work closely with other departments within World Challenge to help ensure that its’ industry leading safety systems and standards are maintained.
When he is not working Stuart still tries to make the most of the outdoors. He enjoys climbing, hill-walking and mountaineering, as well as relaxing and spending quality time with his family and friends
6 years at World Challenge and a variety of roles has given Stuart the chance to travel to some amazing places throughout the world from the jungles of Borneo to the mountains of the Himalaya and he has met some amazing people along the way. His drive and motivation comes from the desire to be part of something that offers powerful life-changing experiences that ultimately inspire people and he feels that working for World Challenge allows him to achieve this. .
