World Challenge offer young people the experience of a lifetime! As part of TUI Travel PLC, we provide educational expeditions for school groups and independent young people. Our exciting programmes see ‘Challengers’ planning and fundraising their way to an awesome expedition in one of over 50 destinations in the developing world. The experiences we offer range from horse trekking in Mongolia, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, building a school in Namibia or observing the wonders and wildlife of the Galapagos Islands!
The role…
We are now seeking a bright, creative and enthusiastic person to join our dedicated Sales & Marketing Team.
Working with the Sales and Marketing Team, you will assist the team with lead generation campaigns, whether through direct mail, or e-campaigns.
You’ll maintain our social media presence and ensure that our Facebook and Twitter accounts are current and engaging. You will also have the opportunity to produce sales support material such as flyers and posters and make amendments to existing marketing material, where the changes do not warrant external designer assistance.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our Image Management System is up to date, collating photos of a myriad of destinations, loading images onto Flickr and completing the shortlist for our annual photograph competition.
Providing effective administrative support, you’ll proactively manage stock levels, re-order when required and assist with any other administrative tasks required.
What are we looking for…
You will have a proven interest in Marketing, ideally having had a year of solid experience as a Marketing Assistant or similar. Alternatively, we would also welcome applications if you have completed a marketing related degree or qualification (such as CIM) with some work experience in a marketing environment.
You will be organised and a self starter with attention to detail that is second to none. Working on various projects, you will need to demonstrate excellent time management skills and have a flexible attitude; happy to help where needed.
You’ll be proactive, able to take responsibility for your own projects and be comfortable at handling numerical data.
You’ll have a creative flair and experience of Photoshop, InDesign or Illustrator would be a benefit but not essential.
