| The World Challenge Ops Centre is equipped with: |
- A dedicated bank of computers with a unique database used to log all incidents enabling up to the minute progress reports
- A bank of telephones including a dedicated emergency line, administration lines and emergency fax. Complex telephony that allows interaction with databases and other call handling technology
- Plasma screens and interactive computer touch screens scrolling all active incident reports and other useful data
- A file for each travelling team containing detailed country specific information such as an itinerary, in-country contact numbers, casualty and evacuation details, World Health Organisation and First
- Assist recommended hospitals and medical centres. World Challenge also holds details of each team member (including adults), photocopies of passports and flight tickets, emergency contact details for next of kin and school emergency contact details
- Detailed maps of each destination
- A current and extensive library of guide books for each destination
- Satellite communication contact details for every team
- Live news feeds from the BBC and other media agencies
- A bunk room for Operations Centre night duty staff
- In-house Western Union money transfer terminal
- Our own unique disaster recovery plan including a large generator to power all systems in the event of a critical power failure and an alternative location planned for use in an emergency
