£26,000 basic (rising to £28,000 after one year) plus uncapped commission + £4,500 car allowance

A member of TUI Travel PLC, World Challenge are a learning and development organisation who design and deliver education expeditions to over 50 developing world destinations for school groups. We help young people achieve personal and team goals to develop valuable skills for later life such as teamwork, leadership, problem solving and communication; we truly provide a life changing experience! We are looking for two Regional School Managers to develop business relationships with our client schools and ensure that they are receiving the excellent customer service synonymous with World Challenge.

What you’ll be doing…

  • You will manage and develop strong business relationship with client schools within your regional portfolio; ensuring excellence of customer service and achieving repeat sales and business development targets set with the UK Managing Director.
  • Using your presentation skills, you will deliver inspiring sales presentations to maximise student recruitment to expedition programmes launched within client schools and inspire confidence in parents; convincing them of the benefits of the expedition programme.
  • Liaising with Head Teachers, Member of School Senior Management teams, Local Authorities and Governors, you will offer a personalised service and promptly deal with any issues that arise.
  • You will develop a business plan for your region to maximise revenue streams and repeat sales.
  • You will liaise with internal departments, to ensure that your clients’ expectations are met.
  • You will manage a team of Programme Facilitators, to ensure that each Expedition team receives ongoing guidance and support and the full educational programme.
Your profile…
Representing World Challenge, you’ll be professional, customer focused and passionate about outdoor education.
Having a minimum of 2 years experience in a relationship management role, you will have exceptional relationship building skills and a proactive approach to developing client partnerships.

Able to identify opportunities within your region, you will have a strong commercial awareness and the ability to meet repeat sales and revenue based targets.

An excellent communicator with proven presentation skills, you will maximise student recruitment and be able to convince parents of the benefits of outdoor education.

You will have a full driving licence and be flexible and adaptable; with the ability to complete evening presentations and the extensive travel required for this role.

Knowledge of the outdoor industry and adventurous travel would be a distinct advantage, as would experience in the education sector. Although not essential, people management experience would be an advantage.
