The Durmitor National Park is a rich ecosystem with dense forests and shimmering glacial lakes. Hikers can traverse the peaks and vast canyons, and adventure enthusiasts have options to climb, ski, snowboard or white water raft along the tumbling rapids of the Tara River.
The Cathedral of Saint Tryphon in the medieval city of Kotor is World Heritage listed and there are many other beautiful architectural sites, such as imposing fortresses, medieval buildings and intricate churches to take you on a visual journey through history.
Montenegro is a multicultural mix of different religions and traditions. The locals are proud of their heritage and are renowned for being welcoming and hospitable.
With stunning blue green glacial lakes, tiny fishing villages, quaint little coves and spectacular alpine scenery, Montenegro is a little gem of a country that seems to offer it all.
