Cambodia and Thailand
Introduction to the Cambodia and Thailand expedition
A combined expedition to Cambodia and Thailand provides the perfect blend of adventure, history and an unbeatable cultural experience, with both the Khmers and Thais wonderfully friendly and welcoming peoples.
Tucked to the east of Thailand, Cambodia has only recently emerged as a destination to explore after many years of conflict. It has much to offer, not least the majestic temples of Angkor, with Angkor Wat itself being one of the most impressive man-made sights in the world. |
 |
Neighbouring Thailand has long been a popular destination for travellers. However, this expedition will spend only a fraction of the time visiting popular tourist sites and instead teams will head into areas that are rarely accessed, visiting remote hill-tribe villages, enjoying the opportunity for rafting and elephant riding and at the end of the expedition relaxing on an exotic beach!

Our Challengers loved…
Working with children with a genuine need for assistance and outside help in Cambodia, one of the poorest countries on earth.
Getting well and truly off the beaten track, teaming up with local guides to trek the dense jungles and rolling hills of north Thailand, living with hill tribes in stilt-house homestays, learning first hand how to survive in the jungle and carve bamboo tools, and exploring this alien environment on foot, by waterway and even on the back of elephants!
