Venezuela
Introduction to the Venezuela expedition
|

|
Venezuela offers great diversity and adventure. Venezuela boasts several distinctly different climatic and geographical zones, the largest being the Gran Sabana in the east. This mixture of savannah grassland and jungle covered ‘tepuis’ (table top mountains) offers demanding and exhilarating trekking in spectacular surroundings. In contrast, in the Sierra Nevada region to the west, the Venezuelan Highlands, form an extension of the Andes where teams can trek high into cloud forests, revealing hidden lakes.
Venezuela is a demanding destination for a team looking for a challenging environment. Through demanding treks and projects, participants will experience a diverse and outstanding country on an expedition that will test their strengths and provide them with exceptional reward. |

Our Challengers loved…
Trekking through lush coastal vegetation in the national parks of Henri Pittier and Paria to acclimatise to the humid environment and tropical temperatures. Becoming part of a small community and contributing to a social project. Challengers travelled down the Rio Caura to reach one of the Amerindian villages to build furniture and do other basic construction. Working with a variety of foundations on conservation projects and participating in communities building a sustainable way of life. |
