| The highest and most isolated of the South American republics, landlocked Bolivia lies in the southern half of South America. It is bordered to the north by Brazil, to the west by Chile and Peru and to the south and east by Argentina and Paraguay. Bolivia is three and a half times the size of the United Kingdom and also boasts the highest capital city in the world, La Paz, at 3632m. Bolivia is one of the more adventurous destinations in South America, and anyone who joins an expedition to this fascinating country, will remember their experience for many years to come. |

Our Challengers loved… The enormous difference between the cool thin air experienced during high altitude trekking and the thick humid air of the Amazon jungle. The trekking possibilities for teams in Bolivia have been endless, including the opportunity to travel along old Inca trails. Jungle exploration has been a highlight for some, with the opportunity to experience the unique Amazonian rainforest ecosystem with its rich biodiversity. Teams loved the colourful traditional costume and loved a culture which is steeped in history. |
