| Introduction to the Costa Rica expedition Bordered to the north by Nicaragua, the south by Panama, the east by the Caribbean and the west by the Pacific Ocean, Costa Rica is the world's most biologically diverse country and one of the most beautiful countries in Central America. Despite its size, Costa Rica has an enormous amount of natural beauty to offer – including a wealth of National Parks, rainforests and cloudforests, mountains and volcanoes, rivers, lakes, and the beaches of both the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. With the chance to trek on the volcanoes of Nicaragua or at altitude in the highlands of Panama, this destination has it all. |

Our Challengers loved… Climbing volcanoes in Nicaragua, summiting peaks in Costa Rica and Panama (both with amazing views of both the Caribbean and Pacific coasts), exploring the rainforest in Costa Rica and trekking in and out of remote communities for some rewarding project work. Teams also enjoyed relaxing in the hot springs at La Fortuna, whizzing through the tree-tops at Monteverde on a zip wire, taking part in an adrenaline filled white water rafting tour, visiting a turtle conservation site or just relaxing on the beach. |
