Introduction to the South Africa expedition

South Africa flag

Few travellers are prepared for South Africa’s immense diversity. Situated on the southern tip of the African continent, South Africa offers variety not many countries in the world can; dramatic rugged mountain ranges, rolling grasslands, and fabulous coastlines with beautiful beaches.

In addition South Africa offers a great opportunity to view wildlife in its natural habitat.

World Challenge South Africa Our Challengers loved…
Working amongst some of the poorest and most rural communities in Southern Africa, in Swaziland and Lesotho as well as South Africa itself. Teams renovated community buildings and schools, installed sports equipment, taught school children English and even built chicken coups to leave a lasting impact where it was needed the most.
Another highlight are ‘Big Five’ sightings in the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve, with teams sighting elephants on the move, lions on the hunt and even highly elusive African Wild Dogs.
