Expedition life
After months of planning and fundraising, it's time to go on your overseas adventure! Your expedition itinerary will be varied and action-packed. All expeditions are different, but each is likely to comprise of the following four phases:Expedition life > Phase 1 > Acclimatisation
An acclimatisation trek or phase will enable the team to adjust to the climate, culture, altitude and terrain and to practice working as a team whilst conducting some essential bush craft and survival training that will help you get the most out of your time away.![]() |

Expedition life > Phase 2 > The Trek
Teams will complete at least one physically challenging main trek. This should be achievable for the whole team whilst being challenging for every individual.Expedition life > Phase 3 > The Project (destination dependent)
Teams are encouraged to give something back to the local community by completing a useful project within the community or for a local organisation. Project work is often hard but is also immensely rewarding.Expedition life > Phase 4 > Rest and Relaxation
This is the team's chance to unwind and relax in a chosen area after completing their trek and project work. Many teams choose to do optional activities during this phase such as white-water rafting or going on safari (at an additional cost), or simply relax on the beach and reflect upon your achievements!Find out more
