Education through exploration
Education makes a lasting impact when it’s delivered through real life experiences. Science lessons involve students carrying out experiments, home economics includes practical cookery skills, even geography lessons involve getting out and about to carry out surveys and measure rivers. Getting students to experiment and explore makes the learning process fun and memorable. Encourage young people to participate in education through exploration by taking them on a trip of a lifetime.

World Challenge trips provide education through exploration There are a wide range of school trips abroad available for students that promote education through exploration. Young people are encouraged to take an active role within the expedition team, including taking turns to act as group leader. Taking students out of the school hierarchy and away from other influences gives them an opportunity to start afresh and explore their own journey of personal development. |
It’s not just about the practical skills that young people will gain and develop while on a trip. Education through exploration allows young people to learn from mistakes, accept responsibility and grow in confidence. It introduces them to subjects they may never have thought about before, such as how privileged their life is. It’s about showing them how other cultures live – where family and community are valued and expensive gadgets are non existent. It teaches them that it’s more important to focus on who we are, not what we have.
