Jungle Training Course

Jungle Training / Living and Leading in the Rainforest

Run by Field Skills

Many people can find the jungle a challenging environment but with the right skills, knowledge and mindset you can enjoy one of the most amazing and bio diverse environments on earth safely and successfully.

Our tropical forest courses will give you a greater appreciation of the environment, its ecology and the environmental issues facing it. They will also give you the day to day skills to make the most of your time there - to stay safe, look after yourself and others and enjoy a successful trip.

With such a unique environment of course come unique dangers. What are the latest snake bite protocols? How exactly do you get a leech off? And just what is the problem with furry caterpillars? - come along and find out...

TWO DAY COURSE – Living and Leading in the Rain Forest:

The two day course is therefore ideal for expedition leaders, researchers carrying out fieldwork or teachers going on school expeditions.

We will consider more practical skills such as jungle camping, improvised stretchers and safe machete use as well as jungle risk assessment and crisis management.
