"Week 3 was incredibly difficult; it was the week of climbing Mt Kinabalu. It was the most difficult, but most rewarding things that I have ever done. After getting half way up the mountain, my knees were wrecked (they tend to pop out of the socket when I walk), but I was determined to reach the hut of which we would spend the night before the early rise to walk to the summit. When we reached the hut, it was the most amazing feeling!"

"Hi my name is Elizabeth Saunders and I recently went on an expedition to borneo with my group. Unfortunately on the 2nd week of the trip I became ill and ended up going to hospital. Whilst in hospital I realised something amazing that I don't think I would have realised had I not have gone to hospital. I thought that I wanted to go on this trip to see borneo and the orangutans and prove something to myself, but when I was in hospital on my own I realised that none of that mattered if I wasn't with my team. It was my team that I missed and the strong bond that we had made in just one week. I had a great first week because of this and I was lucky enough to see some of Borneo and have memories that will last. I had a lot of firsts on this trip whether it was bonding with my group or struggling up a hill, or my first time hospitalised with my first drip!

So I would just like to say a big thank you because although I'm upset that my trip had to come to an end, I gained a lot in just one week, and my World Challenge Expedition Leader inspired me a lot and showed me what I could do with my life so THANKYOU!"

"So many experiences both enjoyable and challenging. Meeting the local Malay people, learning some of the language, staying in longhouses, the noise of the black jungle as we lay in our hammocks as well as the fantastic performance of our girls, are all memories I will keep with me for years to come. I thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone considering South East Asia. A hugely diverse and wonderfully challenging trip!"

"The experiences we have shared as team have been tough, but I have learnt that a determination to succeed together with a desire to enjoy can get you through almost any situation, I have grown so much as a person since being here and have benefited from every single moment, be it tough or enjoyable. There are a million and one reasons why a person should take part in something like this. The world is out there to explore, but no experience comes close to a journey like this. Our leader taught us that it is not the destination, but how you get there that counts and the journey that I have had I would wish everyone else in the world to be as lucky as to take part in a expedition... Thank you to World challenge for enabling me to experience something like this. "

"The expedition has been an amazing experience for the students and for me. We have all benefited from the activities undertaken and I feel that all the students have come back as more confident and secure young people."

"Katie learnt how to relax! She is a born leader/organiser/problem solver - World Challenge made her understand others need to  & can take charge. And that she will survive!"
