Learning outside the classroom

Learning outside the classroom is at the very heart of World Challenge

World Challenge expeditions are designed to be educational; students face a series of mental and physical challenges, taking them outside the classroom and outside of their comfort zones.

Learn outside the classroom

Learn outside of the classroom

Challengers learn outside of the classroom to overcome adversity, cope with new environments and become more aware of both their strengths and their weaknesses. As part of the ‘learning outside the classroom’ experience, they will be encouraged to take manageable risks, overcome fears, learn how to communicate effectively and bond as a team – essential lessons for the future and ones that simply can’t be learnt inside the classroom.

Experiential learning allows everyone to develop and learn. Education and safety in our commitment to underpin this adventure outside the classroom. A life changing experience is what you get, no matter what your age or ability.

Learning outside the classroom As teachers we all strive to give our pupils the best lessons we can, many of these lessons are learnt outside the classroom. Over the past 8 years, in conjunction with World Challenge, I have has the privilege of delivering some of the most important and invaluable lessons in my 31 years of teaching. You don’t need a lesson plan with aims and objectives, all you do is give pupils the opportunity and then stand back and watch them grow.”
