"As I write this my fellow team members are outside enjoying the twinkling lights of San Jose. Tomorrow our 5.30 bus shuttle to the airport will be filled with sadden hearts as we prepare to say goodbye to our home for 1 month for the last time. However we are filled with lots of memories and will greatly miss the close knitted team we have created, that we now call family."

"I got the chance to go to Costa Rica, it was such an amazing experience, stunning scenery but exhausting when we climed Cerro Chirripó. One of the best things I've done in my life! Spending my birthday in a village school, building a playground and living with a traditional family was one thing i enjoyed most. I'd recommend anyone who gets the opportunity to travel takes it with no question."

"Zip wiring  through the Land forests and white water rafting. It was a challenge at times, but reaching the end of the treks and they sense of achievement we had was great. I enjoyed seeing the amazing wildlife: humpback whales, dolphins, monkeys, sloths, olingos, birds and insects. I enjoyed the salsa dancing taught to us by a very talented dancer, Oscar. Swinging in the hammocks, the amazing vies and sunsets, cooking for 22 people, playing cards, the football match against the locals - the list is endless."

"I think all challengers learnt a lot of skills on this trip - most hadn't camped on such a scale before and they learnt to look after themselves and equipment well. They also learnt how to communicate with people and to organise themselves. With such a large group this was quite a set of skills. The team were brilliant and really worked together well. The range of activities on our itinerary were all excellent and we really did have a proper challenge with the trekking which was so important to the students in terms of sense of achievement. I benefited greatly from organising this trip and I've learnt a lot myself, as well as had an amazing trip. It delivered beyond expectations."

“World Challenge has provided our students with a fantastic series of opportunities. The chance to experience another culture whilst seeing a new country in a very real context and to meet the people in their immediate environment is a rare and special thing to have done. I was so impressed with the ways in which the students rose to the challenges before them and the expedition gave them the opportunity to shine and grow in confidence.

"The students have returned to school or gone onto university with much greater confidence in themselves and with strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team. The expedition leader provided great support and reassurance whenever it was needed but he would allow the team to make its own decisions (and mistakes!) within the parameters of safety. It was always a great comfort to know that the very best safety precautions were in place and that if anything had gone wrong, World Challenge were prepared for any eventuality. I would be the first to recommend an expedition with World Challenge.”

"Going on a World Challenge expedition helped me see the world and appreciate what I have back home. I had an awesome time and the view from the top of Volcan Baru will stay with me for life. It was an amazing accomplishment."

"I have just come to the end of the best month of my life. World Challenge has provided me with an unforgettable experience where I have learned so much and challenged myself beyond my expectations. Not only have I learnt expedition skills such as jungle survival & cooking in the rain but also life skills such as leadership & teamwork which are vital. My leader was such an inspiration to the team as a a whole and thanks to World Challenge as I now feel ready to travel the world independently."

"I really enjoyed the World Challenge experience & would love the chance to do it again. Everyone should go on an expedition if they can. Everyone learnt a lot but we also had fun & knew we were safe. Our leader, Manuel was great and gave us confidence in ourselves."
Phillipa Peters, Challenger

"Our experience of world challenge has been fantastic and Justin's leader was superb."
