The Mayor of High Wycombe, Cllr Trevor Snaith, was a guest of World Challenge earlier today.
He was invited to our Queens Road offices by Group Managing Director Matt Eastlake where he was given a guided tour of the company’s offices and Operations Centre whilst meeting and talking to staff members.
The Mayor also got together with a number of World Challenge’s In-Country Agents, from as far afield as Kyrgyzstan, Uganda and Sri Lanka, who are currently over in the UK for training.
World Challenge moved to High Wycombe five years ago from Acton, West London and has continued to grow in both size and stature since then. Currently, 10 employees, who were born and bred in High Wycombe, work for the organisation.
As well as in High Wycombe, World Challenge has offices across Australasia, South East Asia, North America and the UAE.
Matt Eastlake said: “We are very proud to be providing an experience which places students (Challengers) in a very strong position to make the most of their future careers and the staff here in High Wycombe is central to those important learning outcomes.
“It was a pleasure to welcome The Mayor and he was extremely keen to hear about our business and was hugely complimentary of our aims to help young people get fit, explore their limits and grow in confidence, resourcefulness and global citizenship.”
Cllr Snaith added: “Companies with truly engaged, passionate employees who love their jobs are always more likely to flourish, and this is certainly the case with World Challenge.
“They are certainly a business in the ascendancy and I wouldn’t mind going on one of their expeditions myself!”
