Safety - our top priority

Setting the standard in safety

Every expedition offers its share of challenge and adventure - that is how students learn new skills and reach their full potential. Learning about safety, both their own and others, is a crucial life lesson.

The safety of participants on World Challenge expeditions is managed through the following system – safe people, safe places, safe policies and practice and safe resources.

What do teachers think about our expedition safety...

“Safe school expeditions are about managing risk. The Skinners’ School has been using World Challenge since 2003. We have sent expeditions to Namibia, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, and the Maya Route. The quality of back-up means that the school can have confidence that despite the challenges they will face, there will always be the necessary support in place.

"When a group of pupils from Skinners’ were robbed in Guatemala, the assistance provided by World Challenge was exemplary. The pupils were very well cared for in the aftermath of the incident, and were reunited with their families in a matter of days. Despite the incident, the school will continue to provide pupils with the opportunity to take part in challenging expeditions abroad. World Challenge will be my first choice to lead those trips, as I have complete confidence in their systems and support networks.”
