Will I be able to raise the money?

Yes! The whole idea of the programme is that we teach you the skills you need to raise the funds for your World Challenge Expedition. If you put the hard work in you can raise the money through individual and team fundraising activities. See some of our fundraising examples of how others have achieved this and enjoyed it.

What about increasing tuition fees?
Never has there been a better time to embark on a World Challenge Expedition programme!
With rising tuition fees and increased competition for university places, you need to stand out from the crowd to get your place at University!
World Challenge gives you the chance to significantly add to your ‘Higher Education Passport’ by equipping you with the skills that University admissions tutors and future employers hold in high regard. In fact, World Challenge was voted in the top four activities that employees look for in a candidates’ application.
A World Challenge Expedition is more than a school trip – it’s an educational programme that gives you the opportunity to develop life skills such as teamwork, leadership, enterprise and planning that will help you to stand out from the crowd and make your UCAS Personal Statement something special!
Going on a World Challenge also gives you the opportunity to gain 70 UCAS points.

Challengers raise on average 80% of fee
Last year, Challengers raised on average a very impressive 80% of the cost of their expeditions!
World Challenge has a dedicated Fundraising Support Team to help individuals raise the money needed for their expedition. The team speak to challengers on a daily basis to find out what kind of things have worked for them and give them advice, support and fundraising ideas if they are struggling.

Fundraising events We organise Challenger runs and abseils to really help kickstart your fundraising and get you well on your way to funding your expedition. Make sure you sign up for one of our fundraising events!

Dedicated Fundraising Support team

Each Challenger is appointed a dedicated Fundraising Support Advisor, who will be their point of contact throughout the programme, ready to help with fundraising tips, plans and ideas.
