Community Projects

World Challenge project based expeditions

Typically every expedition has a 3 – 10 day, school based community or environmental project built into the itinerary. There are certain expeditions, listed below where the project makes up the main focus of the expedition.

Project Uganda

Our planning managers liaise with local contacts and aim to find placements which meet the needs of the community and the goals of the team.

We develop sustainable projects that will continue to benefit the communities we work with long after the students have left. See our sustainable projects page for more information on the work we do.

World Challenge is on had to give the team help with organising the project work. The type of project depends to some degree on the destination and the community’s needs at the time but teams might help build basic amenities in remote villages, renovate classrooms or work in wildlife sanctuaries.

Whatever they do the team will benefit the community they are in and have the amazing opportunity of seeing and participating in a way of life far removed from their own; a truly eye opening experience!

What's being said about our Community Projects...

"We from Amazon Gero Tours want to say thanks a lot to World Challenge UK for the brilliant attitude as World Challenge teams have helped many Amazonia communities with social projects. Thank you again and again."

Geraldo M de Sousa
