We’re experts and wholly passionate about what we do. We are proud to be one of the very few school expedition organisations to have been externally verified as compliant with BS8848 as well as being award the LOtC Quality Badge for overseas expeditions. We have not ‘self asserted’ our compliance, this has been externally audited by the awarding bodies. We remain actively engaged with both BS8848 and LOTC Quality Badge as they both aspire to ensure quality and safety on overseas expeditions, which is our key priority.
World Challenge achieves top 3 star rating from Investors in Customers
Investor in Customers (IIC), the independent customer service standard agency, completed an assessment on World Challenge. World Challenge achieved the top rating, three stars, and their result places them in the top ten of all IIC assessed companies. They are currently the leading travel firm in the IIC database.

Compliant with British Standard 8848 Expeditions provided by World Challenge conform to BS8848, a 'specification for the provision of visits, fieldwork, expeditions and adventurous activities outside the United Kingdom'. World Challenge has elected to have our compliance to this Standard independently assessed (rather than the alternative self assessed option) by the Young Explorers’ Trust after a detailed audit of our operating procedures and safety management systems. World Challenge was the first provider of school overseas expeditions to receive the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge and be concurrently assessed as compliant to BS8848. Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge
World Challenge holds a prestigious Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Quality Badge, specifically designed for overseas expeditions.
The badge is nationally recognised and designed to bring together all existing safety and quality badges into one easily identifiable mark of quality.
The Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge has been awarded after a rigorous external assessment which assures our customers that we actually do what we say we do. The assessment is evidence-based upon six high quality learning outside the classroom indicators.
1. a process to assist users to plan the learning experience;
2. accurate information about its offer;
3. activities, experience or resources which meet learner needs;
4. reviews the experience and acts on feedback;
5. meets the needs of the users; and
6. safety management systems to manage risk effectively.

The AQA Baccalaureate is an exciting qualification that adds value to students' core A-level subjects through broader study, the Extended Project Qualification and enrichment activities. Students who complete the AQA Bacc can demonstrate their academic abilities, their commitment to their chosen field of study and skills such as team work, initiative, perseverance and leadership - all important for higher education and employment.
