A Message from World Challenge
World Challenge is the leading global provider of student-led expeditions.
Each year over 500 leading schools (10,000 students) from 25 countries send teams out on expeditions to breath-taking places like Ecuador, Costa Rica, Borneo and Malawi where they go on to trek, complete projects and immerse themselves in cultural societies.
The key difference between a World Challenge expedition and other school trips is that it is designed to be student-led, providing an experience which places students in a strong position to make the most of their future careers.
The important learning outcomes in terms of responsibility, leadership, planning, teamwork and both physical and emotional challenge are immeasurable. Our new global Challenger Handbook, which is given to each participant, sets out these key learnings.
Many Challengers go on to achieve greatness, including Winter Olympics Gold Medallist Lizzy Yarnold (Maya Route, 2006) and former Olympic and Commonwealth 400m Champion Christine Ohuruogu (Bolivia, 2002).
Challenge, participation and environment are at the heart of what we do. Please take a couple of minutes to hear from those people that World Challenge makes a difference to in our new video.
