Our expert staff proactively support students, teachers and parents all the way through build-up until after expedition.
Our people and our business
Everyone at World Challenge shares a passion for adventure, for getting things right and working as a team to deliver life-changing experiences for every Challenger and School Leader. Many of our staff experienced World Challenge when they were at school or, as part of their role with us, have joined an expedition to support as an Assistant Leader.
The World Challenge staff network extends to over 40 destinations where we have committed In-Country Agents who support our expedition teams.
We are all proud to be able to make such a difference to the lives of so many promising teenagers. We know, because many tell us, that the World Challenge experience helped to inspire and motivate many students to go on to achieve great things.
Your dedicated World Challenge team
Your Regional Manager oversees the smooth running of your expedition programme. They ensure that the level of service delivered to customers before and after the expedition is second to none. What’s more, they are all regional, and with seven of them spread around the UK, you have a dedicated and familiar face that can drop in at the school at short notice. Your Regional Manager also helps you get your expedition programme off the ground by presenting to students and fielding those difficult questions that parents may have.
The Programme Leaders are the World Challenge representatives who run meetings with the team in School. As experienced facilitators, they engage Challengers in the programme, encourage them in their fundraising and ensure they are fully prepared for their expedition.
School Support Co-ordinators
The School Support Co-ordinators are the main point of contact for teachers (School Leaders) throughout the programme and take care of all the administration. They book the programme meetings and help with any queries from the launch of your expedition to departure.
Every group is accompanied on its adventure by a World Challenge Expedition Leader. We pride ourselves on attracting the best in the industry, selecting candidates based on their qualifications, experience of working with young people and familiarity with travelling in the developing world. New Expedition Leaders are put through our rigorous four-day training and assessment process so we can identify which type of expedition they are most suited to.
